May 2, 9:30
until 11am - Operation 'Knock Off'
=================================
The Burlington County Health Department will be staging Operation Knock Off,
and are in need of victim role players, who pretend to be ill. This is a
great opportunity to satisfy a key requirement for the Emergency
Preparedness Merit Badge, which is eagle required. Attached please find the
registration form. We are encouraging the Troop to participate! Anyone who
does will receive a blue card for the merit badge and have this requirement
signed off. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Youngkin.
Note that this also fulfills a major requirement for Emergency Preparedness
Merit badge!
We are trying to find out who is interested
in a white water rafting trip asap. We have to coordinate a swim test and
get a deposit in, for June 27/28 weekend. Please email
gyoungkin@aol.com if you are interested.
In May the boys will be working on a theme
for the Spring Camporee. We also have a FUNDRAISER OPPORTUNITY! May 16 (5/17
Raindate) is the Medford Car Show. Our troop has been approved to sell
pretzels, and it looks like it will be almost all profit. Looking for scouts
available to do a shift or two that day.

TIP FOR NEW SCOUTS (and old ones
too!!):
Merit badges are needed to get your Eagle rank - you can work on them
AT HOME during these months, and there are lots of adult counselors to
help you get them completed. Work an hour or two each week, and
before you know it - you will be done!!
Check
