Relay 4 Life! - June 2008
Troop 26 helped make this event a success!
First a LARGE THANK YOU to all the scouts and parents at RELAY FOR LIFE!! You worked extremely hard throughout the day to set up and light over 2000 LUMINARIES.  This took hours of work and the committee person for the Luminaries could not thank us enough.  She was extremely appreciative and we are very proud of all you :)
The final number was $307,000 raised  Donations are being accepted until August 31st so anyone who didn’t get a chance but still wants to can donate.  The goal is $325,000 and if it’s anything like last year I expect them to reach this goal.  The Relay this year was a huge success and it was great to see so many people who put so much effort into the event and the tent decorations.

You can STILL make a secure, tax-deductible donation online using THIS LINK or send your contribution to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Attn: RFL of Medford Cherry Hill, NJ 08034   Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up!

Tom Fritzscha
had his Eagle Board of Review on Apr 24, 2008 and is now Troop 26’s 86th and latest Eagle Scout!  Congratulations Tom!

Congratulations to Johnathan and Sean on making the Ordeal in Order of the Arrow!  Good work guys!

  • Seabase '09 - lJuly 8-15, 2009.  See Joe Ribinsky for more information.

  • We are saving and recycling aluminum - if you have some, contact Mr. Ribinski - it will go toward your funding for scout activities!

TIP FOR NEW SCOUTS (and old ones too!!):
Merit badges are needed to get your Eagle rank - you can work on them AT HOME during these months, and there are lots of adult counselors to help you get them completed.  Work an hour or two each week, and before you know it - you will be done!!
