Fall Camporee - "Be Prepared!" Where: BellePlain State Forest When: October 18-20, 2002 What: The theme this year is "Be Prepared". It is a chance to show off your skills and learn new ones. First Aid will be a big part along with outdoor skills such as emergency shelters and the use and care of your axe and knife. Cooking the hard way and Fire starting skills will be tested. We will also have a Tenderfood Corral where New Scouts can work on their Tenderfoot Requirements. Lets not forget that this is the weekend of the Jamboree On The Air. We will have the communications area set up for you to try your hand at contacting Scouts around the world. SKILL CONTESTS The "Be Prepared Challenge" -- A whole lot of skills combined in a race that is guaranteed to challenge the most skillful patrols. Dutch Oven Chili Bakeoff -- The one who cooks it must taste test it prior to the judges trying it (a 15 minute waiting period after the taste test and before the judges eating it, just to be sure) This is a Patrol Activity. First Aid Challenge -- A patrol activity where first aid scenarios are presented to the partol to solve. Be Prepared !!!! Troop Gateway Contest Campfire Ash Ceremony NOT FOR THE UNPREPARED !!!
