Venture Patrol
  •  For the older, experienced scout
    • 14+ age and 1st class minimum
  •  More opportunities for adventure
  •  We have done / can do:
    • Rock climbing, backpacking, camp out, service projects, bike trips, rafting, etc..
  •  Meet as a patrol between troop meetings
  •  Schedule own activities

  •  Requires 15 days camping inc. 1 long term

          Effective April 1, 1999 the following are the 12 required merit badges for Eagle Scout Rank. 21 total badges are needed.

Camping & Trip Guidelines
  • Schedule - boy created
  • Must : “2 deep” leaders
    & drivers
  • Must : Permission Form each trip
  • Must : paid in advance (food, etc.)
  • Paperwork : Tour Permit, Permission Slip
  • Injuries & Accidents - will treat / call
  • Behavior problems - will call for trip home
  • Camp gear packing list available

  • Having Fun …… YES
  • Any dangerous activity …… NO
  • Bring Scout Book …. YES
  • Must be physically fit for level of activity
  • Must be proper gear for event
    • rain, cold weather, shoes, hat, gloves, sun...

  • One of top BSA camps in the United States
  • Excellent opportunity for advancement
  • Facilities : Swimming, Shotgun, Rifle, Mountain Bike, Archery, Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Hiking, Swimming, etc..
  • 2003-Jul 19 (Sat) = optional Battleship Cove
  • 2003-Jul 20 (Sun) thru Jul 27 (Sun) - “week 4”
  • Cost $35 Battleship & $245 Yawgoog / ($125 adult)
