State Police Academy - Sea Girt, NJ
Leaving:2 groups Oct 22: Group-1: 3pm, Group-2: 5pm
Returning: Oct 24 ~ noon
Drivers: Parking is VERY limited - driver's meeting Oct 18th to determine
who goes, etc. needs coordination.
Permission Slips: Due ASAP
Food: Patrol
Cooking - each patrol buy food, patrol membership finalized Oct 4th.
Cost: $25/scout (FULL & already paid in advance) Waiting List

Preparation: Tent Camping!!
Get ready for lots of fun and adventure! OVER 6000 SCOUTS EXPECTED!! Dress for weather, be prepared
for rain and cold (but its OK to hope for the best!) Good socks, sleeping
bag, ground pad, poncho, dry shoes, etc.

the Day
Directions: Garden State Parkway to Exit 98. Turn onto route 138 East and continue through 4 traffic lights. Beyond the 4th traffic light turn onto Highway 35 south (there will be a sign for Sea Girt). Continue on Rt. 35 South to the 5th light and cross over the railroad tracks, then bear to the right. Continue to the Academy entrance where security personnel will direct you to your destination. ...poor MAP HERE

Friday, October 22, 2004 – Units check in after 1:00pm in an exclusive area on the Sea Girt Training Facility property close to the action. Units set up their campsite and get settled. Vehicle traffic will be closely restricted. A designated parking area will be enforced. One Youth and Adult Leader from each Unit will be requested to attend the Friday evening’s Leader’s Meeting.
Saturday, October 23, 2004 – All participants will attend the Official Camporee Opening Ceremony. Units will participate in scheduled comprehensive and structured activities throughout the day and evening. Units will cook in their campsites throughout the weekend.
Sunday, October 24, 2004 - Morning religious services will be observed along with midmorning closing ceremonies. Units will leave their campsites “cleaner then they found them”
