Please help me by sharing this reminder with your counselors and urging them to get their info to me right away. " "VERY IMPORTANT: What I need from each of you BY next Saturday, September 11th, is: Each merit badge counselor who is willing and able to teach a merit badge on that day should send me, by email, the following things: Name of merit badge Their name, phone number and email List of pre-requisites for the scouts. If they have a preference, would they like to teach in the morning session, or afternoon? " "Once I have everyone's lists we will distribute the flyer to the scouts in all 4 troops. Their top 7 or 8 picks for the morning and afternoon will make up the badges offered on Dec 4th. That will be a total of 14 or 16 badges that day! If you are not already a merit badge counselor, we can get that taken care of very quickly. If you are new to this and merit badge counseling, I am happy to provide suggestions and guidance on how to approach this. It is fun and rewarding. The more counselors we have, the more options we can offer our scouts." "We are looking for some new badges as well as the Eagle required ones. The committee put together a list of some non-Eagle required badges that would be great to offer. Obviously we can't offer all of them at this December forum, but think about how you can help. They include: American Business, Architecture, Dentistry, Collections, Crime Prevention, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Genealogy, Fire Safety, Landscape Architecture, Law, Music, Photography, Plumbing, Salesmanship, Space Exploration, Sports, Traffic Safety, Veterinary Medicine.
