  • Meet at Methodist church parking lot Saturday 7-15-06 @ 8:00 AM
  • Be sure to have medical forms and permission slips if not previously turned in
  • Keep a pillow, sleeping bag and a change of clothes separate from your footlocker for the Battleship overnight as you won’t have access to your footlocker
  • REMEMBER TO BRING A STAMPED ENVELOPE OR POSTCARD – YOU MUST HAVE A LETTER HOME FOR ADMISSION TO THE DINING HALL FOR DINNER ON TUESDAY

Preparation: 
1) The Yawgoog Checklist and bring (or don't bring) what you should! We will supply all the poles for the mosquitoe netting. (note on unauthorized poles...)

2) You should have paid, given physical and permission slip to Mr. Gruender

Directions: Go to Turnpike (north), get onto the Garden State (break at Montvale reststop on your own if you need to gas up with cheap NJ gas), continue north to Route 87, head EAST across Tapenzee Bridge, after the bridge, go 1.5  miles to exit on route 287 take it 10 miles to get to Route 95 -and then keep heading on 95 NORTH (EAST). 

We will probably meet at the reststop just past Exit 53 Branford. About 4.71 miles past the point route 91 goes north in New Haven  in CT (gps 41.28581N / 72.83382W).  Figure 4 hours or so and 190 miles to this point.

LOCAL MAP: Follow I95 to Exit 3B (Rt. 138 West). Follow Rt. 138 through your first traffic light. At the second light (blinking yellow), take a right to continue on Rt. 138. Follow 138 until you see the sign for Yawgoog on your left. It can take from 5 to 7 hours depending on traffic, accidents, etc.

Lodging: Tents of course, silly!  Big tents! Sleep 6 scouts! Bunks!
