Dear Mr.
Dreisbach:
I
would like to make you aware of members of your organization who
assisted the Police Division in
this year's annual Safe Trick or Treat Night at Camp Ockanickon.
These individuals sacrificed their time for others in the community
and I thought you should be made aware
of their actions. The members of the Medford Township Superior Officer's
and Police Officer's Associations have been sponsoring
this event for the past four years. Under the direction of the School
Resource Unit, the camp is donated to
the township so that children in our community
can experience a safe and fun night of trick or treating.
Over
900 children and their families attended this year's event, making it
the largest so far. In speaking
with the children and their families at the camp, I can assure
you that the generosity of those who volunteered was greatly
appreciated.
I
was overwhelmed by the number of parents and children who approached us
and thanked us for sanctioning the
event. But the credit for the success of the night
goes to the hard working people who made it happen. As the chief of
police, I know how demanding time can
be, and I commend those who sacrificed their
time on this night so that other families could be together with their
children.
On behalf of
the Police Division and the entire Township of Medford, I would like
to recognize the following individuals
who generously volunteered their time and efforts:
Chris
Doty
Jordan
Doty
Drew
Muckenfus
Matt
O'Connor
Rob
Gray
Victor
Martino
In a time
when it seems young people are only criticized for their negative
actions, I felt it only right to
recognize those who helped others in their community.
Please
share with them my personal thanks for their efforts.

Chief
Stephen Addezio
Director of
Public Safety
