April 24, 2001 Letter from Troop 26 for visit to Air Force Two

BOY SCOUT TROOP26
MEDFORD, NJ
April 24, 2001

Colonel David S. Fadok
89th Operations Group Commander
1240 Menohor Drive
Andrews AFB, MD 20762-6511
Re: Major Greg Clark

Dear Colonel Fadok:

On behalf of Boy Scout Troop 26, I offer our apologies for the delay in getting this letter to you.

On March 11, a member of our Troop Committee, Lt. Colonel Timothy S. Doty, arranged for our Troop to visit Andrews and we were given a personal tour of Air Force Two by Major Clark. Having personally attended this tour, I can honestly say that Major Clark's interaction with our entire group was nothing short of outstanding. To see the awe inspired looks on the faces of both our youths and adults truly summed up our experience. Major Clark made each one of us feel important and he spent a great deal of time answering our questions in a very professional and friendly way and we are extremely grateful for the opportunity that was extended to us.

Never let it be said that our organization took this tour for granted. I am of the opinion that for those that were present, the experience we shared is probably a once in a lifetime event and one that is still being talked about by our members.

Please extend our thanks to Major Clark along with our best future wishes.

Yours Truly,  Peter L. Detmering               CC: Lt. Col. Timothy S. Doty
