Troop 26 Info: West Point Camporee

USMA Crest40th Annual Scoutsmaster's Council Invitational Camporee 

Dates:  Friday May 3 to Sunday May 5, 2002

Leaving: Methodist Church in 2 "waves" ~1pm and later.  Call Mr. Martino for details.

Returning: Methodist Church around ~4 pm? We will call on cellphones on way back.

Details:  Bring $$ for dinner on the way up, $$ for lunch on the way back.  Bring clothes, gloves, hats, boots for outside.  Extra shoes - there will probably be MUD, and lots of it.  Permission slip of course.  TENT CAMPING in military formations - Bring CLASS A - INSPECTIONS - NEATNESS COUNTS.  

LIMIT OF 25 SCOUTS (no adult limit)  If you are on 'waiting list' you may get call Friday...

Program: The following is a list of activities from the 2001 Camporee : Combat Compass, Pioneering, Stretcher Carry, Knot Tying, Kim’s Game, LRC, Canoe, Fire Bucket Relay, Communications, First Aid, Drill, Static Display, One Rope Bridge, Campfire Skit .... and MORE!

Cost: $20 signup due 1 week before the trip with attendance commitment.

"Follow Palisades Parkway North to the end. Follow signs to Route 9W North, West Point/Newburgh. Take Route 9w North to West Point. Take Exit 1 to Route 293. Follow 293 for 4 miles to the lights for Camp Buckner and follow signs for Camp Natural Bridge Parking."
