POPCORN Fund Raiser for Troop 26

Our Troop uses the popcorn as one major fundraiser for the year.  Each scout's participation is expected to raise $20 (either by selling or by a fee), beyond that amount we 'split' the profit with the scout and the troop (in a camping/event fund in scouts name).
  These profits will be used to fund summer camp, our outdoor activities, or for other expenses.  The local council, the troop and the scout all benefit from this sale.

The Popcorn Sale is off and POPPING!!! 

First of all, I want to say thank you to all of the units that are participating in the 2007 Trail*s End Popcorn Sale.  All indicators are that we are going to have a great sale this year.  Our units that are participating in the Show and Sell portion of the sale are up 10.5% this year.  That increase in selling units has led to a 28% ($31,730) increase in the amount of popcorn purchased for the sale.  This is a dramatic increase!!!  My hat is off to each and every Scout and Scouter that is out on the streets selling popcorn. 

 This leads to my next point of interest.  In order to maximize all of our sales, in the den, patrol, Pack and Troop, District and Council, we need to know how the sale is going.  If we are constantly asking our direct contact leaders how their Scouts are doing they will in turn have a better grasp on what is working and what needs to be tweaked.  To help support you in this effort, each unit that reports your unit sales level to Todd Heyn, Popcorn Staff Advisor, on October 1st and October 15th will receive a free Marshmallow Blaster to support your sale.  These are one of the Trail*s End Prizes this year that are great for unit meetings as well as incentives of increased sales.  The only problem comes when you have to take them away from the adults to give to the Scouts.

         Some upcoming dates to keep track of are as follows:

*Show and Deliver Popcorn Pick-Up - Saturday, September 29th 每 9:00 a.m. to Noon at Gray Trucking in Beverly.

*First Unit Sales Report Date 每 Monday, October 1st

*Second Unit Sales Report Date 每 Monday, October 15th

*Take Order Popcorn Orders due 每 Friday, October 26th
