Projects
Troop 26 believes in helping others through service activities. Here is a list of some of the activities we have accomplished in the past, with more to come in the future!

Medford Art & Music Festival
We support annually the setup for this event, and have the "Spin Art, Sand Art"
raising monies for charities such as the Police Association and also "Relay for
Life" American Cancer Society! Photos

Doyle Flag Placement

We support the Memorial Weekend placement of flags for those who gave
the greatest sacrifice for our nation. We help place the 20,000 flags at
General William Doyle Cemetary for Memorial Day.
Eagle Projects
The Eagle Scouts from Troop 26 plan projects requring the support of
many others (typically 100 hours or more of support efforts... sometimes much
more). With our 80+ Eagle Scouts, that's a lot
of projects!! A few examples include construction of trails, construction of
canoe racks, development of church directory, landscaping for parks, etc.

Worked on St. Vincent dePaul donation center, constructing new flower beds and improving the landscaping (Joe Leahy Eagle Project)

Worked on USS NJ Battleship to help restore it
Worked on Church Photo Directory (Charlie Dreisbach Eagle Project)
Collected toys for tots for holiday season
Made Holiday greeting cards for those in need, at our regular scout meeting.
Cleaned up fire ring for OA council fire at PineTree
Helped to setup Dickens Festival for Medford, by placing signs, directing the trolley route and other activities.
Replaced about 28 window crank mechanisms helping Mr. Martino on his woodbadge project at our meeting site at the Methodist Church in Medford. Good job for those who helped!
COUTING 4 FOOD - again we filled up bags help those during the holidays.
Spook night at Camp Ockanockin. Cabin sponsored by Troop 26 - thanks to scouts and adults who entertained hundreds of kids for this Medford Police sponsored event! Read nice letter from chief of police.
Eagle Project Jim Hasenmayer - Constructed new canoe racks and also cleaned up the beach at Lake Pine
Prepared valentine cards and posters for the Medford Nursing Home
Eagle Project Derrick Budzynski - Improve island from erosion and build a permanent dock at one end. Moved soil and planted tree.
Eagle Project Chris Doty - Identified sewer inlets to the lakes of Tamarac community and marked with permanent plaques.
Eagle project Brian Dixon - helped to preserve historic records of Medford, and provide suitable storage (shelves) - article was featured in August 1999 Courier Post newspaper.
Medford Post Office Beautification - We helped install 86 bushes & trees planted & mulch with other organizations in the community - check it out!
Eagle Project - Chuck DelCamp - YMCA Camp Ockanickon (see "Service Photos") Repaired trail and added steps and other features.
Eagle Project - David McCrosson - YMCA Camp Ockanickon - widen trail for horse and handicapped access.
Eagle Project - Jon Thomas - Union Fire Hall at Medford - Garden Restoration and upgrade
Eagle Project - Andy McCrosson - Lord of Life Church - Meditation Walk (see "Service Photos") - installation of walk for the church.
Eagle Project - Brian McCarthy - Improvements of Holy Eucharist Catholic Church - repair of roof and storm sewer drains.
