Troop 26 - 2003 Registration & Dues Dear Parents, It is once again time to re-register your son for another challenging year of camping and advancement with Troop 26. Burlington County Council has changed our charter year to a calendar year, therefore we are coming to you in December instead of in February as in years past. Since you paid dues through February 2003 when your son joined or re-chartered we have adjusted the re-charter fee to take this into account. The fees for 2003 break down as follows: BSA registration fee: $10.00 + Dues @ $2.50/mo $25.00 with $5.00 credit for Jan/Feb = $35.00 total registration and dues In addition, each scout is asked to generate $20.00 in fund raising profit each year. Scouts who exceed this goal have 50% of the excess available to apply towards camping fees. Those who fall short of this fund raising goal are asked to make up the difference at re-charter time. Dues and fund raising profits are reinvested in the boys via merit badges and rank insignia, Boy’s Life magazine, purchase and maintenance of equipment, replenishment of camping supplies and subsidies of camping fees. A full year of scouting is an excellent value when compared to other activities such as MYAA. Please send any balance due in with your son to a December troop meeting.
